Rain Forest Safari (Hike)
Descend through lush rain forest through more shades of green than you thought existed, to a hidden waterfall and natural pool where you can swim and relax before an uphill return climb.
An incredibly scenic journey by open-topped Landrover jeep, will bring you to the outskirts of the western forests of Fond St. Jacques (jeep is stocked with ice, sodas, water and beers).
Embarking on an
exhilarating one hour
hike (downhill all the
way!!) you will need to keep a lookout for rare parrots while your St. Lucian Forestry guide points out vanilla vines, the lacey five-fingered leaf of the Bois Pain Marron, brilliant heliconias, and other fascinating flora and fauna. Relax and bathe at a beautiful waterfall and natural pool before heading uphill back to the jeep. Its then on to the coast for a well-deserved buffet lunch.
This tour is over uneven terrain with many steps on the hiking trail. It is for the physically fit and not suitable for pregnant women, young children or persons with heart conditions. Proper walking
shoes are a must. Seat belts must be worn at all times while on the jeep.
