Errard Plantation Tour
A day of exploration, history and natural delights. Journey down
to beautiful Mabouya Valley by open topped Land Rover, explore the fascinating ruins of an
old sugar plantation in the Fond d'or Nature Reserve. Marvel at the wild Atlantic with fabulous views of the windswept coastline.
The Errard Estate is a short drive away, a former Spice estate, full of fragrant nutmeg and abundant cocoa trees. The plantation house built in 1903 is a fine example of late
Victorian architecture.
The Estate manager
welcomes you for a
refreshing fruit juice & entertains you with stories of times gone by. Then it's off into the lush undergrowth of the surrounding secondary rainforest for a short nature walk. After your walk, you're ready for a home cooked and superb lunch, buffet style at the Estate house.
After a leisurely lunch we head off to beautiful Errand Waterfall for a dip (weather permitting) in the cool and refreshing mountain cascade.
